Why doesn’t Siri work after screen replacement?

I just replaced my iPad mini 4 screen and the home button works fine and so do all the other buttons, but when I try to use Siri it doesnt come up on the screen. Nothing happens. I’ve tried hey Siri, the Siri button on assistive touch, ad I’ve triple checked all the settings that has to do with Siri. I’ve also reset settings then reset my whole iPad without restoring to a backup. Any suggestions?

I’m having the same problem. I bought an aftermarket lcd / digitizer and installed it. The first thing I noticed was, it would no longer sleep either with the sleep button or by closing the Smart Cover. I later learned that this lcd /digitizer did not come with a sleep/wake sensor installed and now I see that I can’t access Siri as well. Have ordered a new sleep/wake sensor $5 and will see if Siri works after install.

There are two cameras on the mini 4, both located around the rear camera (see step 29 of this guide). You may have damaged one of the flexes while removing the screen assembly. It could also be caused by some dust or lint clogging up the microphone holes in the housing so you should inspect those and clean as required.
