Battery, ringer, and other problems after screen repair

A friend replaced my shattered 6S screen with one from iFixit. The phone worked fine with the shattered screen except that the lower portion of the screen no longer sensed touch, so it had to be replaced. Again, all other functionality was fine. After the screen was replaced there are 3 problems.

1. The ringer doesn't work. 2. No indication of missed calls. 3. The battery randomly discharges very quickly.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Wondering if there is much hope of being able to fix this phone now…

How many phones has your friend fixed? The reason I ask is screen repair, while not very difficult still requires a level of detail when prying the screen and removing and transferring components over. The battery also needs to be disconnected when working on the phone to avoid shorting any components.

It is possible that you got a faulty part, but it sounds like something has either been shorted or not connected properly. I would ask him to recheck all the connections as a first layer of troubleshooting.
