Hello,

First of all, you will have to open the MacBook up. This can be done with the help of the ifixit guides that you can find on this website. After that, you need to have a look at the area where the water has spilt. When there is water damage you can't just dry it and expect it to work because after a while the minerals from the water will corrode the components and you will have problems with your whole MacBook. You need to get an old toothbrush or something that you can brush with and use isopropyl alcohol to clean the area and even any electrical components. After it's cleaned then you need to use a hairdryer to dry it.

After you have cleaned everything up then wait a while for it all to cool down an put it back together. If it still does;t work then you will have to replace the components that have been water damaged.

This is the most effective way to clean everything up and not have anything else damaged.

Hopefully, that helped. Thanks
