Unable to Boot from internal Samsung SSD, external usb works fine

White flashing folder after crash, been using mac in its current state for a year, SSD works fine in usb enclosure, tried reinstalling os still wont boot. drive appears in disk utility when used as an internal drive, but cannot be selected with startup disk.

EDIT: was able to boot from the SSD when it was inside, only worked for about an hour, and everything was extremely slow, closing safari would get a loading wheel, then and it froze again and i got the white folder after a reboot.

Chances are you will need to replace the hard drive cable:

MacBook Pro 13" Unibody (Mid 2012) Hard Drive Cable

It's hard to tell if it's been physically damaged but if you use a magnify glass or micro-scope you could look for micro-abrasions as shown here:

I also recommend placing electricians tape on the uppercase where the cable lays across as its the machined aluminum which abrades the cable.

After replacing the cable reformat the drive and install a fresh copy of the OS as the data structures maybe damaged

After replacing, I also put either small pads or use a very thick 3M tape on either side of the cable to protect it from contacting the bottom case.
