Logic board upgrade. Will it fit?

Hi,

I recently changed the battery connector and the DC-IN of my Macbook but the battery still won't charge (The AC charger and the battery are in working order). So I guess the logic board needs to be replaced.

While I'm at it I wanted to upgrade to a early 2008 logic board:

I noticed on the Hi-res pics:

that some of the connectors are different. Like the heatsink connectors. Other than that I did not see a difference compared to my current logic board.

Anyway, my question is: Will it fit? And what else will I need to replace besides the heatsink?

Coconut battery sais the battery is fine but when the AC charger is plugged in, it still says 'not charging'.

Can't tell the serial number right now because my macbook is at the macstore for a topcase replacement, but it's this one for sure:

The 2.0 logic board should drop right in: MacBook Core Duo 2 GHz Logic Board

To go higher than that I would try to get an answer from Ben Eisenman with iFixit. I'll add a tag so maybe he'll spot this question.
