Why is the screen full with lines and touch is not working?

So i have replaced screensin all the i phones my sister had...she is clumsy...

but i decided to replace the screen in a i phone 5 to give it to a friend...i moved as usual take the screen off take all the screws off...take the camera speaker and home button put them in the new screen and installed...but when i turned on the phone there was a blue line in the midddle of the phone and when its open its faded...no strong colors, also the digitizer is not working properly i might type 1 and it types 1 7 or 1 *

have i managed to ruin the screen and the digitizer or could the screen been problematic all along..i never had an issue with a replacment before.

Are you absolutely sure you put every screw back exactly where it came from? Sounds like it could be long screw damage. Either way, the problem is most likely the logic board. Even just dropping the phone can cause logic board damage.

The problem is most likely the screen.

iPhone 5 screens can easily go bad from just transferring from one phone to another.

What kind of lines, is it like parallel white vertical lines going down the screen, usually this is a bad connection of the screen cables.

If reseating screen does not help, screen has to be replaced.
