Can't hear anything from speaker or ear speaker, phone app freezes?

Hello,

I am currently repairing an iPhone 6, came in with problems with not being able to hear anything on the speaker or ear speaker as well as a broken screen.

I quickly changed the screen, works obviously, and i attempted replacing the camera speaker sensor flex as well as the speaker itself.

Cant hear anything AT ALL. As in not even static or something faint in the background, can hear nothing. And when i attempt to put it on speaker, it just freezes the entire phone.

I then resorted to doing a back up and a reset, and updating to the newest iOS. I haven't tried making the phone NEW again, and i only restored it to its previous backup. And possibly this might be the problem.. i do know yet,

Has anyone run into this sort of problem before?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

check the ribbon cable once , you are not able hear static because they are not connected.dont know why it freezes .

That is impossible. I have changed that flex cable, it wasn’t working before I changed it and not working after. And that can’t explain why I can’t hear out of the loud speaker, ear speaker and even the headphone jack.

what were the problems before and after the surgery

Are you sure all the ribbon cables are in nice and snug? maybe you forgot to connect them. while I was working on an iphone 5c I had to remove the logic board because I forgot a cable that accidently got caught under the logic board. Check for any unused sockets!

I specifically just said that all speakers and audio components aren’t working. So even if one of the audio cables wasn’t snug doesn’t explain it very thing else.

Ok, If you feel this answer was not helpful feel free to vote it down then. also check to make sure there is no shorts or rips in the new cable. But all in all, I wish you best of luck!

hey! We have had this issue come in before. it is pretty common for an overheat to fry out the Audio IC. if there is a short inside the IC, it will overheat, and freeze when you try to use the speaker.

This is generally very expensive to fix, and a very difficult procedure. you would need to locate the Audio Contol IC, and its surrounding circuit, and veryify it is functioning correctly, and replace both the chip itself, as well as the other components when needed. i do not have the specifics on the circuit, and perhaps someone here can elaborate on the required resistances and voltages needed.

As I cannot seem to find other solutions I guess this is the only one. Thanks

I'm sorry I had to be a bearer of bad news. when you finish looking around for other possibilities, if you wouldn't mind marking this as the answer, I would appreciate it.
