Screen periodically becomes unresponsive after replacement

I replaced the screen and now from time to time it becomes unresponsive to touch, when this happens if the home button is pressed then it begins to work again. Would anyone know what might by causing this issue / how to solve it? Thanks!

It could be caused by a poor connection of the screen connectors or perhaps the screen isn't sitting properly. The iPod Touch 6 is a bit harder to work on than iPhones, even if they share a lot of the same technology. I would go back through this guide to insure you haven't overlooked something.

Was the screen replaced by a non-authorized Apple repair shop or serviced using non-Apple parts? If so, a recent iOS 11 update has been knocking these off on purpose.
