MacBook Air Cracked Screen On The Inside

My earphone cable got stuck and I couldn't close my laptop. I then unstuck it but realized the inside of my screen was cracked with long cracks running up to the top of the screen. The space between the long leftward crack and the long rightward crack is completely white and I cannot see anything including my mouse. All operations seem normal except that logging out doesn't work. What is causing this and should I go fix it?
