Laptop Battery connector damaged.

I own a 5 year old, HP Pavilion dv6 7010tx.

The laptop is not working on connecting the battery, but is working fine in AC Supply.

The local repair guy is stating that there is an issue with the "motherboard battery connector".

Need your help and suggestion regarding replacement/repair of the same.

Apurva Agarwal I'd start with a new battery. That will provide you with a known=good starting point for further trouble shooting. If unsure you do want to post some images of your motherboard and the battery connector with your question. that will allow us to see what you see. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that. To work on your laptop, download the service manual for your DV7 from here
