Replaced Case, Can't Restore

I recently replaced the screen and the rear housing on my iPhone 6 Plus. The Logic board, battery, home button & speaker are original, the rest has been replaced. There seems to be a few bugs in it so I am trying to do a fresh install of iOS to see if it's software or hardware related, but keep getting error 2005 (USB connection error). I am able to connect it to my PC (windows 7) and make a back up through iTunes, but can't seem to restore as new. I've tried using a downloaded copy of 10.3.3 and also tried letting iTunes restore to current, but neither work. I've made sure windows and iTunes are up to date. I've reinstalled all the USB drivers and switched USB cords from non apple to apple cords and nothing seems to work. The only thing I can think of is since the lightning connection is no longer an OEM part it is treating it as a non apple part.

Other then taking the phone apart again and replacing the lightning connection, are there any suggestions on fixing or bypassing the USB connection error?

10.3.3 isn't being signed any longer by apple since a few 11 updates have been out longer than a couple weeks. I would try doing an over the air update first if possible to bypass the USB, or attempt to Flash it with 3UTools at 3Utools.com in DFU Mode.

Thanks for the link. Been looking for a program like that. Was trying to avoid updating to 11 (not to crazy about it) but if that's the only way I will get a fresh install then it will have to do.

Looks like it's hardware related. The sound comes and goes. If I open up a music app such as Pandora it works. If I change the ringtone, sometimes you can hear the ring, sometimes you can't. Same thing with keyboard clicks and lock sounds. Guess I need to transfer the old OEM parts into the new housing.
