Where's the Internal Memory Chip on the Motherboard

Well my Kindle Fire finally took it's last breath today & I took it to a tech repair store to see if I can get the memory on it moved over to a new Kindle Fire.

They told me they could swap my old motherboard out & into the new Fire, but they also told me if it was a problem with the motherboard then it wouldn't even be worth it because it would cost me around $500 to find the SD card on the motherboard & to copy it over or something like that.

So I was wondering were the internal memory is on the motherboard so I can see if that would help them move over the information or not. And drive down the price because that's just insane.

Thank you for taking the time to read this & if you gave me an answer.

Answer this question I have this problem too

@d4rk1ight should be a Samsung Flash Memory IC under the EMI shield. If you remove those shields from your board and post some images of your board, we can identify the IC for you. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question to post some images with the shields removed.

Sadly there is no swappable SD card here it's a soldered chip.

Maybe the cheaper way here is to just get another Amazon Fire of the same generation (used) thats working to try swapping out the logic board if you're up to it. Here's the IFIXIT guide: Amazon Fire 5th Generation Motherboard Replacement.
