Getting loud humming when pressing talk already replaced battery

Hi,

Do you have more than one (1) DECT 6.0 portable phone connected? If so does it happen on all phones or only the one?

Can you try a corded phone into the telephone line socket to prove that the problem is not on the phone line? If you don't have a corded phone, disconnect the DECT base unit from the telephone line socket (and anything else that may be connected to the phone line in the premises) then call your number from a mobile phone (or any other phone e.g. neighbours phone etc) and see what happens.

If you get a busy signal or the ring tone starts and then stops shortly afterwards and you hear noise it points to a faulty telephone line.

If the ring tone signal continues OK for about 30 seconds or more the line should be OK.

If so reconnect the base unit (and anything else that you disconnected from the phone line) and then get back to us here for further help with the phone itself.
