Why does my display go off when opened more than 45 degrees?

Why does my display go off when opened more than 45 degrees? Shining light on screen shows images.

you probably have damaged backlight cable. try to open your screen assembly and have a look on connections.

as you did not provide model number, i cannot look up the right guide. you'll have to do it yourself...

Similar problem with my 14" G4 powerbook except that its back light dims badly when the screen is opened more than a couple inches (30 degrees). Seems like a loose connection or something. I don't know how to check the backlight cable or open screen assembly.
