I broke the end of the heatsink! WILL IT STILL WORK PROPERLY?

I did not notice the screw that attaches the heatsink to the TOP CASE, located nearest to the fan. I Yanked up on it and the very tip of it snapped off. New to this! will I need to replace the whole piece or was this just there to keep it in place?

Just there to keep it in place. Your fine.

Thanks @tcrs_circuit . What about the Rubber gasket? Does it really have to be on top of that clip or can I just leave it how it is (resting on the Top Case)?

I repair these for a living and when that rubber thing comes off it never goes back on. Call me unprofessional but they never have issues. None of the older ones have it. my only guess is that it's for dampening the noise of the fan
