How to replace audio jack port iPod first gen - M9724LL/A

My M9724LL/A audio jack is not working properly when inserted to audio jack port. I don't know how to replace it with the new one and which audio jack port to use. Thank you in advance.

Hello,

The audio jack in one of these is soldered to the motherboard. Which means that you would have to desolder and then solder a new one on. Parts for this can be found on eBay but if you don't know how to solder you would have to replace the whole motherboard which is quite hard. This will also remove everything you have on the device as you wouldn't have the same memory.
