camera doesn’t work but suddenly did for about 5 seconds

Hello All,

So I replaced my screen on my iPhone 6s Plus. Afterwards, the both cameras, the ear speaker, flashlight, and proximity sensor all stopped working. The thing I mainly care about is the rear camera, flashlight if possible. For some reason today, seemingly out of the blue, the camera worked for about 5 seconds and then stopped working. I thought the camera was toast but now I guess it’s something between it and what ever processes it to the display.

I would open up the phone again and inspect the flexes for the FCAM/Sensor and the Flash. That's quite a few subsystems to fail all at once and there is no single electronics circuit that manages all of them. However, a camera issue could blow out the circuit that powers them both. But the sensors and flash have different subsystems. The only commonality is their relative proximity and the fact that you replaced a screen.

Did the replacement screen come with the FCAM and Sensors pre-mounted or did you transfer them over?

I had transferred the front camera, earpiece, proximity sensor, and one other component. What’s the FCAM?

Sorry...FCAM: Front Camera, RCAM: Rear Camera
