I have an AstroStart auto start that cooked a resistor due to a low battery and no fuel so it just latched up to start and didn't stop till the resistor went into meltdown mode. It is on the main PC boardnext to the 6 diodes. I would attach a pic but don't see how to. I have asked the mfg 4 times for the value of the resistor and told them i understand if it fails it is my fault. Absolutely nothing from them. if anyone has a old one and can send a pic of the inside, i can get the value from the color code.

Thank you,

Andy

Hi @andrewvickery1 ,

Don't have the device but does the pcb have a board part number printed on it at all? If so perhaps you can search online for the board, using the part number only, as the search term and hopefully you may find an image of it which may show the resistor in question. Apologies if you have already thought of this.

Hi Jeff, yes there is a part # but have not had any luck so far. The number is 1550-074 revision 1

Hi @andrewvickery1 ,

Are there any installers of the product in your area? It may be that they have an old (or faulty) one in stock that they will let you have look at. Never hurts to ask
