Bios and post black screen but screen works in OS (internal screen)

Hi I today replaced a broken screen on toshiba satellite c50-b-14h and the most strange thing that i have ever seen happened. So here is goes. Everything is connected correctly BUT when i power on the laptop i dont see post screen, or toshiba splash screen or uefi but if i wait a little the os loads up and everything works fine. The screen works in OS but not in bios. Its like the bios i missing drivers for the screen or they cant co-operate to set up resolution. But windows does open correctly. i ve tried to change bios display options via system setup (toshiba tool) , if i set to vga, i can see the bios in the external screen . If i choose auto or system lcd only i see nothing. Is there any work-around to fix it ? .

p.s. it's not fast start up issue

thx in advance

it looks like the motherboard recognizes your new LCD as a secondary screen so it doesnt show the BIOS /POSTing there. try looking at the BIOS again (if you can tinker it via an external LCD display and disable multi screen... If your laptop has an add on GPU , try setting it as the default as well.. let me know if that works.

update: if none of those above works, try booting on SAFE MODE, removing the display driver using DDU (www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html) then reinstall the driver.

If still doesnt work, consider a clean installation of you OS.

hope that works

I think you got it wrong. The screen works if i set bios settings to csm (works both in os and bios) but if i set it to uefi it only works though the os and doesnt work in uefi nor post. Furthermore, in uefi, even if i change the option to auto or internal lcd, the screen doesnt respond at all , i dont even have backlight
