Why are instrument panel lights and tailights not working?

All lights work except instrument panel and tail lights. Checked lamps in tailight and they are fine.

Harry what year is your Jeep and where are you located? Do you the optional daylight running lights? Anyhow you checked the bulbs, did you check the fuses? Did you check the wiring to make sure they are not shortened out. If those check out okay, I'd concentrate on the switch. Here is some more info http://www.2carpros.com/articles/no-tail... Good Luck
