Trackpad and keyboard doesn't work on lock screen

As of the past few days, my macbook will freeze up when it sleeps so when I go back to log in the trackpad and keyboard don't work. I try restarting it 10 times and it doesn't work. The weird thing is, is that when I get it to reset the password during the boot up it both work perfect. And then after probably the 15th time it works, but then will go back to not working when it sleeps again. I don't know if its the trackpad cable or what, but any tips would be awesome.

I haven't spilt anything on the keyboard or trackpad before. And here is the image from the coconut battery app.

There is a few possible issues here. The first is your battery is swelling so its pressing on the trackpad ribbon cable. You could review your batteries health using this app: CoconutBattery its a free app which is quite good. Post a screenshot of the main screen for us to see.

The other possibility is you had a liquid spill at some point which is corroded the back side of the trackpad.

As to fixing follow this IFIXIT guide to replace the battery: MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 Battery Replacement. Be aware new rules on the shipment of LiOn batteries prevents shipping by air. So you may mend to find a local source or travel to somewhere where you can buy it.

If the touchpad (trackpad) or the trackpad cable needs replacing then follow this IFIXIT guide: MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 Trackpad Replacement You'll find the part numbers for either parts in the guide.

Classic trackpad cable symptoms, very common issue. The cable costs under £10 and is very easy to replace; order one and swap it out
