Water damage (washmachine), screen repair or more?

I washed my phone by accident in the washmachine. It was probably on at the time. It was not after washing: I removed the screen and back and wiped off the visible moisture and placed them in a 150 degree oven (removed sim, left it partially open) for about an hour. After this, spontaneously music started playing out of the phone(half a phone!) so i left it to play until the battery died. After leaving it in rice for about a day I plugged the phone in. The screen is messed up, the only visible thing is the apple logo on boot and then its just a white screen with some streaky lines. It can still recieve calls/texts i just can't answer them becuase the lcd is messed up. It plugs in fine to the charge and syncs with itunes. Is my phone salvageable and whats the next step if so?

your screen is messed up in what way? dark/bright/streaky colours? If you plug the phone in to wall charger and then turn on what happens? is it recognised in itunes?

It sounds like you'll need a new LCD. You should be able to test the digitiser still works/responds to touch if you can scroll up/ down etc or tap on screen and get a response. You say you can't answer texts because of messed up screen but it sounds like you have been able to navigate through the phone... So if that's the case then you just need a LCD, if mo response to touch you need digitiser as well so buy the front panel and save time.

Once you've changed the LCD you'll be able to see how the battery performs. It's usual that batteries don't survive Water
