Is my screen fixable if it is water damage?
I was out feeding my goats and my phone dropped in the snow. I brushed it off really quick and figured it was fine. It turned on when I got inside and the screen was working fine. The only thing that was wrong was my headphone jack was on headphone mode with no headphones in it. I tried turning it on and off and it was still stuck in this mode. I got a cotton swab and twisted it around in there. That fixed my headphone jack problem, but also made my screen start darkening and getting horizontal lines in it. I don't know if I pushed some water towards the screen or what happened. Put it in a dehydrator (worked well when I used it to get water out of my phone this summer) on and off so it wouldn't overheat and tried turning it on. Screen was normal for a little bit, but then had the lines come through it again and darkened. Touch screen isn't responsive.
My question is....since everything else is working, would I be able to get an LCD screen replacement off of Amazon and have it fix my problem? Or is my phone toast?
Is this a good question?
