There something wrong 3Ds Xl speaker ribbon

So I recently fix my 3Ds XL for my little brother and he dropped it a month after. So after I opened it up and did a System check I found the speaker wire that were connected to the speaker ribbon are ripped out. Is there any way I could fix this by soldering them back together

Hi!

You can totally solder that back on there. You can have a really good look at this picture to kindda see what goes where.

However that ribbon looks beaten up to me, I'd replace that entirely.

Do you think it's the ribbon that was causing the problem or should I just try to use the ribbon and if it doesn't work get a new ribbon

I mean I don't know that the problem is in the first place other than the fact that the speaker broke of since you forgot to mention it.

Yeah, I'd only get a new ribbon if I'm sure this one does not work properly...
