The inside button works, but not the outside power button.

The outside shell's power button does not push the internal power button to where it will turn on. If you take the shell off, then the power button does work.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

IF the panel is aligned properly, there is a large likelyhood that the button's nub is worn to the point where it doesnt activate. at this point, take a nylon guitar pick, and cut it down to size. glue this onto the nub using super glue, and dremmel the corners to a soft shape.

This is a cheap way to do the repair, as you SHOULD be replacing th panel at this point.

If the external button is not lined up correctly, you will need to anchor a larger piece, and make sure it covers the button on the inside as you instal the casing.

if the buttons mechanics are failing, you have no choice but to find a used casing for this model, and get it running by replacing it. Or, you can jump the button with some wires, and attach a new powerswitch if you have the skillset to properly wire it.
