phone is stuck in headphone mode
phone is stuck in headphone mode, plays ringtones but will not play media. im replacing a screen also, should i replace the headphone assembly also?

yes. this is the most common reason for your issue.
The HSJack, and CP shorts are usually the reason that it gets locked into a media center mode. replacing one of these two fixes the issue you have the majority of the time

where are the The HSJack, and CP shorts located on mb?
sorry, short is a term used to describe two electrical nodes, touching when they arent supposed to be. the actual components themselves, (Head Set Jack, and Charge Port) are what usually need to be replaced. you should be able to locate them easily, as they are the ports you plug in to.
