Can I use the battery from an 80 GB classic for my 32 GB model?

My 32 gig ipod classic doesnt turn on at all. i think its the battery and i might have to replace it. IF I need to replace it would it b okay to use a battery from a 80 gig classic ipod?

do you mean an iPod Touch?

(which come in 32 gig flavors)

or a 30gb video iPod?

If you meant touch, no.

If you meant the 30gb video iPod, theoretically yes,

(since they're both 580 mAh) though I wouldn't recommend it.

I believe now he meant an iPod original, one of the generations with a 32 gig model.

they DID make a 32 gig original? I never heard of such a thing.

actually nah, I just checked and there never was a 32 gig iPod original. there have been 30s, but never a 32.
