Keurig Rivo Lid not closing

I have a Keurig Rivo that I bought last year in August. It's been working great until today (11.5.17). Today, I tried lifting up the handle and somehow the rivo pod got stuck. I was able to get it free but now when I try to close the lid it wont close all the way WITH a pod in it. It will close without the pod. Any suggestions?

I had to apply enough force to position the lid almost 90 degrees open. After that it closed all the way no problem.

Thank you so much Zach. I was about to take it apart but I tried your method first and it worked!

This didn't fix my problem, but helped me understand the machine enough to figure out I can reach under the handle to "help" the pod mechanism to fully seat.

The pod holder may not be pushed in all the way

Could you elaborate on this, and maybe take a picture of what it should look like?

Supposedly, according to ifixit website, I am “helping” as in people are still checking out this 4 year old post. If people are interested in a good all in one machine for espressos and coffee then I would recommend the ‘Lavazza Classy Plus’. It is the closest thing to the Keurig Rivo. It’s sad that americans didn’t buy enough of said model to cause the company to discontinue it.
