Why does water/coffee overflow my filter handle

The Starbucks Barista machine overflows the Rapporto filter handle. I have cleaned it ensuring the pin and spring assemblies are as before. Cleaned the flat screen, removed it and removed the gasket, cleaned and replaced each of those. The gasket was still very pliable and screen holes were clear. The handle feels like it seats firmly in the ramps and contacts the gasket. Stilll water flows over the filter - and out the coffee hole when pressure builds up. Any thoughts?
