Why is my Buick over heating and coolant fans not working

@stebb the very first thing you want to check is the fan itself. Connect a 12 Volt power source directly to the fan and see if the fan comes on. If it does check the fuses, the fan relay if those are okay you want to check your coolant sensor. Since you omitted the model, year and engine size we cannot assist you with specific details on where these parts are etc.

Update (11/04/2017)

The ECT (Engine Coolant temperature) sensor is located on the top of the engine near the thermostat.

Thank you. I checked the fan, checked the fuse. Both are good. The fan relay is good too. Next step is the coolant sensor. It's a 2005 Buick Rendezvous

What did the problem turn out to be? Having a similar issue on my moms car, relays are good, sensor was changed, fan is good

2005 buick allure no air blowing on all sellections air button pushed in green light on but no blowing.
