Upgrading cpu, gpu, and heat sink.

So recently i have been searching online for parts and replacements for my old mac and wondered can i replace the logic board to a mac 2011 (i5 , 4gb ram) and would that upgrade my gpu too or its that separate parts? Also on another article, i found out that you would need to replace the old heat sink so the cpu wouldn't overheat, so based on that do i also need to replace a fan? Or am I just pushing my mac upgrades too hard?

Go to EveryMac.com and look up your machine.

  • See how it benchmarks compared to what you want to go to.
  • See what percent of speed increase you're going to get.
  • Look up the value of your current machine on eBay and the cost of the machine you want to go to.

Note the difference, look up the cost of the logic board and RAM. Now see if what you want makes the deal good or bad.
