Why doesn't my new game read?

I have the problem that my 3DS XL device does not read my new game (Animals crossing new leaf Welcome amiibo) It says that I need to upate the game or device. I update the device because the game doesn't gets read. But it still doesn't work.

What should I do because the game needs an update but I can't do one because it doesn't reads it (but it reads any other game) here are some pictures of the game and of my Nintendo 3DS. And it does NOT work on my friends 3DS XL (I have a new Nintendo 3DS) neither

Did this game work on an older DS?

I said it's a brand new game and even on my new 3DS it doesn't works and I don't ahave an older DS

Do any of your friends have a 3DS to test your game? Another thing you can try is disconnecting the console from the WiFi network so it can no longer check for updates.

this is the reason its probably because its dirty on the inside and have you thought about if the game was and or is your DS acting up because its old

1. It's a new game and can't be dirty

2. I don't have an DS I have an 3DS

3. My 3DS is still quite new
