After screen replacing same issue?

So on my last screen, I had white spots on some edges areas and a blue faded dot in a spot down the bottom.

I did a screen placement last night, but for some reason it is still there? Same locations and everything.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? I tried disconnecting and reconnecting twice with the connectors but still in the same problem.

Note; While I was trying to connect the connectors, a bit of smoke came out.

Thanks Mandy,

Just out of curiosity, could it be the LCD plate that could cause the issue too? Maybe it has scratches on it or maybe slightly bent which causes it?

by

Yep. Dirt could be behind the LCD back metal plate which would also mean it would be behind the screen.

Make sure the black surface of behind the backlight is clean and the metal plate is clean as well.

Any dirt / debris in there can cause marks on the screen due to pressure being uneven.

If the metal plate is bent then I suggest you try bending it back into place to avoid uneven pressure causing marks on screen.

Thanks Ben, I'll have a look at the plate again and see if I can notice anything.
