Wifi Antena - proper adhesive replacement.

Hi,

I want to buy a replacement wifi antena for an iPhone 5S. All the antenas i received so far were either damaged, or the silver adhesive (indicted by arrows in the photo below) has gaps. Can this be replaced?

That's a sign that the antenna was pulled from a phone. Personally, I don't think that missing a bit of the conductive adhesive will make a difference for an individual phone. Sure, when you're mass producing tens of millions of phones, everything has to be perfect to get high yields. But this should work fine. You can check out sites like Union Repair, they may sell this adhesive.

would you be willing to provide some idea about what this adhesive is called? It looks as if it has some metal particles inside, defnitely more than a simple glue.

If you look here, you will see that the replacement part they sell has the special adhesive. They don't sell the adhesive on its own though. iFixit does sell some pre-cut conductive adhesives but not for the flex in question. You could always cut it to shape.

Indeed. I bought from several places where the part looked like that when advertised, but upon arrival it was like in the photo have pasted.
