Why isn't my Sim card reading

I shattered my first phone, so I just bought my second one a month ago. Nothing has been wrong, now I woke up today and now it just says "Searching" for cellular signal constantly. It's getting for upsetting with my job and things. Please let me know... Thanks in advance.
