My device won't power on nor charge

I recently bought a new macbook air and I can't seem to get it to charge nor power on. When I plug in the power adapter the LED does not turn on at all (not even a dim green light). The problem is not from the power adapter as it has been used on another device. I also tried to change the outlets but nothing happened.

I don't know when it was last powered on as it's a second hand device. I have tried all the SMC, PRAM/NVRAM resets and I still got no response.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Thanks for the help

See if you can get a spontaneous boot. Disconnect the mag-safe & battery. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Reconnect the battery and the mag-safe. You should get a spontaneous reboot.

That failing see if you can get your money back. You got stuck with a money pit.

I'm waiting on the pentalobe screwdriver since I couldn't find any from here. Doubt I'll be able to get my money back unless I try to resell it for parts.

Thanks for responding so quickly
