My Vizio E470-A0 picture went out. If you look closely you can see a faint V in the middle of the TV when you turn it on. How can I tell if the led has gone out on it? If so how easy to fix? Is it worth the time to fix it?

Brad Byrd "you can see a faint V " most likely your backlight not coming on. This can be an issue related to the power board or the LED backlight itself (most likely not). Check the power board and see if it has the voltage values printed next to the connectors. If so you can use your multimeter and measure the output. If in doubt unplug your set, remove the back cover and take a good look at the boards. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question to post some good images with your question. That way we can see what you see. Always make sure that the connectors are properly seated etc. Vizio has some issues with poor solder connections on some of their models. "Is it worth the time to fix it?" depends on what your time is worth. Only you can answer that question:-)
