The Screen is very dark

About a month ago the screen on my Apple Watch fell off. I replaced the adhesive and put the screen back on. When I started the watch back up the screen was very dim. So much so that it was hard to tell that it was on even in a dark room. Adjusting the settings was no help. I took the screen back off to make sure all the connections were done correctly and they were. Yet the screen is still dim. Anyone know why?

I found a tear on the cable. Haven’t found a replacement yet. I’ll post the results soon hopefully.

Chosen Solution

Very possible that when the screen "fell off" it could have damage the cable or the pins, depending on the details of "fell off" (i.e. fell on the ground, hung off the watch, etc).

Apple Suggested test

I would recommend inspecting the pins on both screen and unit, examine the cables for damage. If there isn't anything wrong with them I would consider replacing the screen.

Good Luck
