corrosion marks on the Top Case near TouchBar Flex cable

the local service store told me that there are corrosion marks on the Top Case and near Trackpad and that it would cost me 570$ to fix it.

He told me that my trackpad, keyboard and touch bar are not working. But when i turn on the laptop everything works fine except the keyboard.

I have attached some pictures.

Looks like you defiantly had a liquid spill at some point. My guess is that it either came in from the side and those chips under the Shield are Top Case related or you had a spill on the keyboard and the corrosion in the pictures is just residual.

To be fair to the ASP, $570 is a really good price. Seeing as the part is about $700 to buy yourself.

May very well be a Logic board based issue though. And even then, for that price. Its certainly worth it.
