What to use instead of iPhone adhesive strips for battery?

I am replacing the battery in an iPhone 5c, but the replacement adhesive strips I had weren't good, and I don't want to leave the battery loose in the phone. So what should I use instead? I was considering using a small strip of gorilla tape.

Answer this question I have this problem too

If you don't have the original tape, I use the 3m red double sided tape 5mm as found here

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OZG...

Or any good "Thin" double sided tape that holds it firm :)

Would the battery being hot be a problem for the tape?

Negative. The batteries do not get that hot unless there is a problem with it.

I messed up my white strips while fixing my battery :-( No time to order new adhesive tapes. So I double folded Scotch Blue Painters Tape #2090 so that I get adhesive surface on both sides and stuck it at the back of the battery and pressed it down. Lets see how long it works.
