Early 2011; How do I replace the trackpad?

I have a MacBook Pro 17" Early 2011. The trackpad barely works and I would like to replace the trackpad, but don't see any manuals / steps on how to do it. Understand that the actual part is about $60. Need help!!!

Check the battery for swelling first. 90% of the time it is the battery and not the trackpad giving you the problem.

UPDATE

Replacing the trackpad is very simple and essentially the same on all models of this era.

This guide, even if it is for the 13" should walk you right through it.

Mayer ... thanks for the manual!!! I'm going to give it a try after I order the trackpad off of Amazon. I'll let you know if I'm "successful" or will need to buy another MBP. Appreciate your help!
