Help, iPhone 6 plus screen goes unresponsive

Hey in 16 and I'm fixing this dudes iPhone 6 plus screen and we have ran into a problem.

Our problem

The problem is we have tried two different screens on the dudes iPhone and they both work at first but then become unresponsive.

Ok so in thinking maybe some connections are not tight enough. You know the right part of the phone where the cam and sensors and screen connections are? The panel that covers that isn't screwed in tight, how tight is that suppose to be? I lost some screws that keeps the cover on I bave been using different size screws. If that's the problem ig I could order all the screens for the iPhone from amazon. But iv already spent so much money on this guys phone. I ordered a new backplate, I helped him order a new screen. In starting to lose courage I wanted to start helping kids at my school by fixing phones but this one is giving me a bad reputation and its draining my energy I can really spend anymore money. Anyone know the problem can anyone help me out?

You sure it isn't touch IC on the logic board causing this?

It can be the touch IC chip even if it does not show grey horizontal bars at the top of the screen.

The issue is that the screen intermittently completely loses touch screen functionality until you lock and unlock the screen or turn the phone off and on right?

That is caused by the touch IC and it seems you have already ruled the screen out as the exact same issue persists on two screens.

To fix this problem you would need to do some micro-soldering which would be removing the Touch IC chip (Cumulous / Mason) and soldering the new one on. There may be people near your area that offer this kind of service.

When you restart the phone it works, the dude said he charged it and after ten minutes it was slow to touch then stopped working altogether. Anyway to test this IC. I don't know how to do any of this.

check the connectors are seated properly,

but if the phone is slightly bent this can cause the digitiser to stop working or spass out with random app's opening or dead spots on the digitiser.

but if your stock put the iPhone back together with all the screws in the right place and bring it to a apple store, apple don't care if there is a spurious display on a iPhone as long as the phone is complete with all the screws in place they will service it.

or bring to a corner shop its hard to tell if its a display issue or logic-board issue without working on the phone.

I had the (maddening) grey flickering problem as well and had to repeatedly reset my 6S Plus to use within a narrow time frame before the problem reappeared. I solved the problem by switching off the “software update; auto-updates”.
