Glue residue left on replacement screen strip, does this matter?

I hope the image is more useful. But as you can see there is some left over residue on the strip will that affect the repair of the phone in anyway?

The answer in short is no. The residue as you describe is from Kapton tape and is often used in cell phones and is completely safe as it is non conductive and is mostly used to protect from heat or a safe alternative to thicker tapes on electronics.

If you are having issues with touch or anything else with the screen, it would most likely be caused by a defective screen or something else.

The answer is maybe. The screen is working fine along with everything else but the 3d touch is a little bit finnicky nothing major but could have possibly been caused by the glue.
