computer shuts down and restarts on its own. My battery last about 30 minutes. it is OLD and aftermarket. I can be in front of it and it restarts on its own with out me touching anything and sometimes it will do it 4-5 time in a row.

Hello, is it a normal restart or is it a freeze, does the screen look normal.

it restarts on its own. no freezing. screen is normal
i had a simmilar scenario on a mac pro, the issue was the power supply. So it may just be the akku
i unplug the power from the wall and run on only internal battery and it does the same. Is there a way i can replace power supply or convertor in this macbook pro?
you can replace the akku:
If you can grab/borrow a multimeter you could measure the volts from th Akku when fully charged(ca. 11 Volts). To be 100% sure, and then get a new one.
