Query about replacing the home button.

I am looking to do a screen replacement on a 5c and a 5s.

It would appear that the home button assembly is adhered to the LCD/Screen, how do I go about replacing it?

Do I need to use more adhesive?

Does it naturally stick back down?

I'm a bit lost and this step lacks detail in the teardown.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi!

As far as I know, if you can't get the Home button off the screen, you should apply a little heat, to loosen the adhesive.

When you reinstall it upon reassembly, you shouldn't need more adhesive, the old one should still be powerful enough to keep the Home button in place. At the same time, there is also that metal plate that sits behind the power button that helps keeping it in place.
