Does that even make sense?!

Has anyone noticed anything to do with time? I have LG42LE4500 with this problem. However, I have noticed that the longer the TV is off, the longer I can get out of it before the picture dies. Less than 24 hours off yields up to 5 mins. 5 days off got it working for 8 hours.

So what does this mean? The only way my brain can understand this somewhat is that it s like the TV requires a super cold start, like being on is causing some resistor or capacitor to store charge and force back light off as some sort of safety measure. Does that even make sense?!

@weterr123 yes it does if it is capacitor or IC related, as well as cold solder joints. Sometimes the best way to figure it out is either with a IR thermometer that allows you to monitor the temperatures. The hot test part is most likely the one that will fail. The other way would be by using freeze spray and cooling down that part, should your TV come back on, you found the component. If all that is to complicated or cost prohibitive, you want to consider on posting some good pictures of your boards with your question. That will allow us to see what you see. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that. Take a good look at your power board as well as your T-con board and see if you find anything odd on there.
