How can I fix my iPhone after failing to restore?

my iphone3gs went dead after restoring it, nothing on the screen and it keeps getting hot.

lewis are you sure you want to replace the logic board. Change the question and I am sure somebody is going to get you some more assistance to make sure that you really want to do that.

lewis, have you tried to reset it? I would try to reset the phone by holding both the sleep/wake and Home button together for at least 10 seconds.The red shut down slider may show up at the top of the screen and then disappear again. Just keeping holding the buttons down. Don't let go of the buttons until the Apple logo shows up. When the logo shows, you can let go of the buttons and the phone should be working normally again. Just a attempt of course, if that does not work, I would start with a new battery and then reevaluate. The getting hot issue could be your battery. May be time to replace it. Good Luck.
