LCD clip on the motherboard
Hi guys,
I’ve recently changed the screen on my MacBook Pro mid 2012 and I’m stuck on the last bit. I can’t get the clip down on the LCD ribbon on the motherboard. The Ribbon will go into the port, but I can’t get the metal clip to go over the connector which holds it in place. I’ve pushed the connector into the port on the motherboard as far as it can possibly go. However, I don’t think it’s enough as the clip can’t clear the connector. Anyone got any ideas?
Is this a good question?

@willfish post some images of what it looks like at this time and where the connector sits/binds. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that. This will allow us to see what you see

@mayer I have no problem getting the keyboard in, it’s just the LCD ribbon, which you can see on step 22. However, it’s not the 15 inch screen it’s the 13inch screen I’ve got which has a metal clip which secures the connection.
Thanks for your help
