have you tried this http://cydia.pushfix.info/ or have you tried a Network Reset (in Settings)?

This didn't work too. I think there is a problem with the "microsoft security essentials" installed. I need help again.

Did you get your email back from skyhook? If so, turn off your firewall. The firewall is more than likely blocking the skyhook service.

I sent my location degrees and even pointed on the map but skyhook didn't email back after examining

Try getting into the configuration settings for the Microsoft Security Essentials. There may be some sort of setting which might be causing the problem. The Location Services on the iPod Touch as you know, only works when the Wi-Fi is on, and I suspect the Microsoft security program might be preventing the location service from working. If this is the case, I suggest you uninstall the program and try again.

Try going to a place that offers free Wi-Fi service; Starbucks is

one such example and try it there. If it works, then it might be some sort of security setting.

hi Jon it works with wi-fi services around but it doesnt work with my laptop with microsoft security essentials installed.

Try looking at your security settings. There may be some sort of setting that may be blocking the location service on your iPod. Otherwise, try uninstalling the program on your computer and try again.
