This troubleshooting guide suggests it may have internal damage on the motherboard from a fall or water moisture. JBL Charge Troubleshooting

If it's under any kind of warranty, try and work within that first.

If not, I'd suggest opening it up to look for damage. Disassembling JBL Charge Casing
